Every hour a Vashon property sits exposed after a fire adds risk — rain intrusion, unwanted entry, and potential liability if someone gets hurt on the property. Fire Damage Laser Cleaning's Board Up Services crews respond fast specifically to close that window.
We board windows and doors with weather-rated plywood, tarp compromised roofing sections, and where needed set up temporary fencing to keep the property secure until repairs begin from further exposure.

A dispatcher answers +1-866-484-1409 around the clock, because fires don't wait for business hours.
Our tarping and board-up materials are rated to withstand real weather, not just look secure temporarily.
Board-up materials and crews are staged locally in Vashon rather than dispatched from a distant regional office.
There's no after-hours premium tacked onto Board Up Services emergency dispatch.
A detail Vashon homeowners don't always think about is that a poorly secured board-up can actually violate local code or void certain insurance provisions if it's not installed to a minimum standard — plywood alone, loosely nailed, often doesn't meet that bar.
Several Vashon jurisdictions require board-up work to meet a documented minimum standard, which is part of why we don't treat this as a quick, informal fix.
We've been called out to re-secure properties where a previous board-up attempt, done by a well-meaning family member, didn't hold through the first storm — which is the exact scenario proper materials and fastening are meant to prevent.
A typical Board Up Services visit, from arrival to a fully secured property, usually wraps within two hours for Vashon calls, which is fast enough to beat an incoming storm in most cases.
Broken or missing windows and doors get sealed with weather-rated plywood cut to fit and properly fastened.
Compromised roofing sections get covered with heavy-duty tarp anchored to withstand wind before the next storm arrives.
For larger losses, we install temporary fencing to control site access and reduce liability exposure.
An exposed fire-damaged property is a target; our board-up specifically closes off easy entry points.
We flag any opening that looks like it's tied to a bigger structural issue rather than just boarding over it.
Our +1-866-484-1409 line is staffed 24/7 specifically for this kind of time-sensitive call.
Materials come pre-loaded on the response vehicle so there's no delay picking up supplies en route.
Pricing for the full Board Up Services scope is confirmed on-site, in minutes, not over a callback.
The property isn't left until every window, door, and roof opening is properly secured.
