A damaged structure left unsecured overnight often suffers more from weather and vandalism than it did from the original fire. Fire Damage Laser Cleaning's Board Up Services crews respond fast specifically to close that window.
We board windows and doors with weather-rated plywood, tarp compromised roofing sections, and where needed set up temporary fencing to keep the property secure until repairs begin from further exposure.

Overnight calls get the same live response and urgency as a weekday afternoon call.
We use construction-grade plywood and proper fasteners, not scrap material, so the board-up survives wind and rain.
Board-up materials and crews are staged locally in Somerville rather than dispatched from a distant regional office.
There's no after-hours premium tacked onto Board Up Services emergency dispatch.
A detail Somerville homeowners don't always think about is that a poorly secured board-up can actually violate local code or void certain insurance provisions if it's not installed to a minimum standard — plywood alone, loosely nailed, often doesn't meet that bar.
Somerville, NJ municipalities in many areas have specific requirements for temporary securing of a fire-damaged structure, including minimum plywood thickness and fastening standards.
More than once we've arrived to reinforce a board-up job that looked fine but wasn't actually fastened to withstand real wind load — which is the exact scenario proper materials and fastening are meant to prevent.
A typical Board Up Services visit, from arrival to a fully secured property, usually wraps within two hours for Somerville calls, which is fast enough to beat an incoming storm in most cases.
Every open window and door gets boarded with material sized and secured to actually hold, not just cover the gap.
Compromised roofing sections get covered with heavy-duty tarp anchored to withstand wind before the next storm arrives.
For larger losses, we install temporary fencing to control site access and reduce liability exposure.
An exposed fire-damaged property is a target; our board-up specifically closes off easy entry points.
Before boarding, our crew checks whether the opening itself indicates a larger structural concern that needs flagging.
Calling +1-866-484-1409 connects you to a live coordinator who dispatches a board-up crew immediately, any hour.
A board-up crew, loaded with plywood, tarp, and fencing materials, typically reaches Somerville properties within the hour.
The crew lead evaluates every opening and gives you a same-visit price before any boarding begins.
We don't consider the job done until the structure is genuinely weathertight and access-controlled.
